Booking.com Reservation Payment Failed
Two days ago, I made a hotel reservation and purchased flight tickets for the same night. Despite entering my credit card details for the hotel payment, the charge wasn't processed. The next morning, I noticed the payment still hadn't gone through. I contacted both the hotel directly and Booking.com about this issue.
The hotel said they'd send a payment link, but we've all heard horror stories about clicking on such links. The link they sent appears to be from a bank, but clicking on the bank logo doesn't redirect to the bank's site, and none of the credit card options at the bottom are clickable. While the page might be legitimate, it certainly doesn't look trustworthy at first glance.
I've been asking questions about this link since yesterday morning, both via email and through the Booking.com app, but haven't received any satisfactory answers. I've simply asked if the link the hotel sent me is safe, but I still haven't gotten a response. It's now been two days.
We've bought our plane tickets, but we still can't complete our hotel reservation. Sending links via WhatsApp, non-clickable images in the link... It's been an incredibly frustrating experience. Plus, what's with this link payment nonsense? I made my reservation through Booking.com and want to make my payment through Booking.com as well. This is truly exasperating.
