Booking.com Charges Hidden Fees For Car Rental

Booking.com's website lacks clear information regarding their terms. Their listings are often deceptive. I needed to rent a car, and the rental fee was charged to my card to confirm the reservation. Upon my arrival at the airport in a foreign country, I was unexpectedly required to pay a steep insurance fee for a budget car. Later, I was informed that it was not insurance, but rather a deposit. Charging €1200 for a four-day rental of a car that only costs €54 is completely unreasonable! This is completely untrustworthy.
