On June 4, 2025, my VakıfBank credit card was charged $891.10 through Booking.com Amsterdam, completely without my knowledge or authorization. I had no active reservation, have never planned a trip to Amsterdam, and do not even hold a valid Schengen visa. This is a clear case of unauthorized use of my card.
I immediately contacted VakıfBank to report the issue and had my card cancelled. I also reached out to Booking.com customer service multiple times over the past month. Despite numerous emails and requests, no meaningful action has been taken, and the amount has not been refunded.
This situation is deeply frustrating. I have done everything possible to raise awareness of the issue, yet both the bank and Booking.com have failed to provide a proper resolution. I demand a full refund of the unauthorized charge and a clear explanation of how this transaction occurred in the first place. I expect urgent action to correct this serious mistake and prevent others from facing similar problems.
