Booking.com Charged Me Without a Reservation

On November 2nd, I tried to make a reservation through Booking.com to stay at the Prenses Sea Line Hotel in Boğazkent, Antalya, for the dates of November 8–14. However, because the hotel didn’t approve the booking, the process couldn’t be completed and no reservation was created. Despite this, a payment of €270 was charged to my bank card (last four digits: 6208).

In the email I received from Booking.com, it was stated that the payment would be refunded within 7–12 days. But when I spoke with my bank, they told me that there was no pending refund transaction at all. When I tried to reach Booking.com customer service, I was only met with an automated chatbot and couldn’t get any real help with my issue.

This is the first time I’ve experienced such a problem with Booking.com, and I feel victimized by the situation. I request that the €270 payment be refunded to my bank account as soon as possible.
