Booking.com 387 Rent A Car - Bosnia - Fraudulent Business Practices

June 21, 2024 6:16 PM352

For a seven-day (8th -15th June) family trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina, I rented a car from the 387 Rentacar (387rentacar.com) company at Sarajevo Airport through Booking.com. I initially booked through Booking.com. On arrival, we were unable to validate my credit card as the card provider could not validate the company as they were using a third-party platform. To avoid the issue, I agreed to pay the full package of 700BAM to get full insurance coverage. For my peace of mind and as I would be dropping the car off at 6 am at the end of the holiday, I thought it would be the best option for all. I returned the car on time (15th June). I acknowledge that the car was dirty because of the recent thunderstorms and drive across Bosnia. It was impossible to get the car washed so early in the morning. On arrival in the UK, I found out that I was billed for 1800BAM for a damaged bumper. However, the paperwork sent showed no marks identified damages or issues. I contacted them and reminded them about the additional premium insurance policy I took out to address any damages. I informed the company that it may have been a mistake that they had charged me for the so-called damages. I requested a full refund for their mistake. To my surprise, I was told afterward my car was in an accident, and I did not report this to the police. And that was the reason they charged me for the so-called damage. The photos taken by me show no signs of damage besides the car being dirty. I have requested evidence of this so-called car accident, (photos, police records, any third-party evidence) but nothing was sent. My own photos showed no evidence of damage besides the car being dirty. I must conclude that they make these false fraudulent claims against customers to make additional outrageous financial claims as the customers have left the country and they have their credit card details. I would advise and recommend not to use this fraudulent, criminal-minded company for car rental needs in Bosnia. Iha veto acknowledged that our Bosnia holiday was outstanding, the people were respectful, and everybody was helpful. The only bitter experience came after leaving Bosnia from this fraudulent company. Please do not let this feedback about one fraudulent company make assumptions about the beautiful country of Bosnia. I have tried to get this resolved, without any luck. I hope nobody else gets conned and fraudulently billed by this company.
