BMW X1 Park Brake Failure Left Me Without an Explanation or Support from Service
I got my BMW X1 in May 2024, and then on September 29, 2024, it suddenly broke down because of a park brake failure. I contacted the BMW service center, but they were pretty vague about what caused the problem. This is worrying because I don't feel secure driving the car with this issue going on. This kind of failure could have some serious repercussions, maybe even result in a big accident. I’m really hoping to get a clear explanation and some solid support from BMW about this situation. I thought BMW would do better than this. I hope they fix it soon for my safety and to sort out the issue.
The situation we reached in the final stage was that last Thursday, Özgörkey in Bornova provided a replacement vehicle. Yesterday, on 16.10.2024, I was told that a replacement vehicle was sent by Borusan. I went to return their replacement vehicle and pick up the Borusan replacement vehicle. When I got into the car, it indicated that the brake pads needed to be changed and that it was overdue by 3200 km. However, I was told that there were still 3200 km left and to use it comfortably. Truly, for Borusan and the BMW brand, you are just a customer, and nothing matters after the sale, including your safety. Therefore, it's worth reconsidering the brand. When I called customer service, they said this was a serious problem and that I would hear back from the authorities. I am waiting. Meanwhile, they said the part for the vehicle has arrived, but when they replace that part, there could be another software issue. They informed me of this, meaning we might continue to experience problems.
