Betterup Charged Me for a Missed Coaching Session and An Unauthorized Subscription
Expecting a professional experience, I set up a coaching session through Betterup for a coworker, but it turned out to be a terrible hassle. Neither of us got an apology nor a justification; the session never took place. Betterup still billed my credit card even though my clear directions were not to charge me for the missing session. My credit card company repaid me after contesting the charge, but the matter did not stop there. Betterup began monthly charging me for a subscription I never approved of. Their support system was not working when I tried to fix the problem, hence I just received automated messages. To exacerbate the situation, they advised paying a coach to assist with the problem—at extra cost. I am rather letdown by this lack of responsibility and openness.
