BetterMe Subscription Charges Continue Despite Cancellation

I previously used the free trial of the BetterMe program, but despite canceling my subscription (both through the Play Store and the app), I am still being charged. It seems that the app is entirely focused on collecting fees and does not allow for proper cancellation.
This is not the first subscription service I have used; other programs cancel immediately without any payment issues. I am frustrated by this situation and request assistance in resolving it.
