My Axa Insured Vehicle Was Held Hostage In Germany
They rear-ended my car in Belgium. Axa Sigorta requested that the vehicle be temporarily repaired and brought back to Turkey. However, no one in Europe performs temporary repairs; there is no such concept here. They told us that they either repair the vehicle properly or not at all. Despite explaining that we couldn't return to Turkey due to the bumper falling off, the trunk lid being open, and the left windshield being broken, Axa insisted that we bring the vehicle back, even if it required a tow truck. Companies in Germany quoted towing fees around €15-20000, but AXA Sigorta refused to cover this amount. I requested compensation to have the vehicle repaired by an expert, but I received no positive response. We managed to bring the vehicle to Germany, but we had to leave it there and return to Turkey. We had an appraisal done, and the estimated cost was €7,000. If Axa covers this amount, we can repair the vehicle and bring it back to Turkey.

I sent everything to your employees Harun Demircan and Nizam Koca on 16.08.2024. But we couldn't reach a conclusion.
No action was taken, I went there by plane myself and got it fixed haphazardly out of my own pocket and brought it here. I spent 2-3000 euros. They fixed it here through insurance. They couldn't recover the damage from the other party. The overseas policy was of no use. I did all the procedures and expenses out of my own pocket.
