ASUS G614JI-N3188 Gaming Laptop Gets Too Hot and Battery Doesn't Last Long
After purchasing the Asus G614JI-N3188 Gaming Laptop on April 27, I noticed serious performance issues while gaming. Comparing my measurements with online test videos for the same model revealed a significant problem. Despite choosing Asus for its advertised cooling capabilities, I experience temperatures ranging from 85 to 97 degrees Celsius, notably higher than the test videos' 72-83 degrees while gaming. Even during idle, the laptop runs at 67-72 degrees, far from Asus's promised temperatures. Consequently, I face low FPS, and the battery drains in just one hour, while others claim four hours of usage.
Contacting Asus, I directed the laptop to the SMS Infocom service, seeking a replacement due to clear product defects. Other users advised the same. However, Asus claimed that, after six months, no replacement could be issued unless abnormal reports were generated by the service. Despite my legal intentions, the laptop returned with the service deeming the temperature and battery life as normal. I am determined to pursue legal action against Asus for selling a faulty product and demand a replacement for a fully functional unit. I will actively warn consumers on forums and websites to steer clear of this product and brand.
