Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 GPU Overheating And Performance Drop Issue
I purchased an Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 laptop on 13.01.2025, and about a month ago the graphics card began having overheating issues and causing serious performance loss in games. When I tested the GPU, despite being rated at 140 watts, it reaches 90 degrees even while running at around 50 watts and never exceeds 55 watts. If it reaches such temperatures before even using half of its power, it seems impossible for it to run at full capacity. I sent the product to authorized service twice, and although the issue persisted each time, I was told the temperatures were normal and that it passed the tests. In my last submission, they also stated that if I send it again, they would perform the same procedures and return it. My fault record number from the last submission is 13388148G. Since the overheating and performance loss issues remain unresolved despite all these steps, I believe the product is defective and I am requesting a replacement for my Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 laptop. I have also filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee to resolve the situation. I request that my complaint be taken into consideration and that the replacement be carried out as soon as possible.
Friends, I won my Consumer Arbitration Board application and our negotiations with the company went well; they provided a replacement with a brand-new device.
Since they didn't have the same device, they suggested a higher model and said that if you want a higher model device, you can get it by paying the price difference. I gave them the price difference for the model I wanted.
