Ajet Refuses to Correct a Simple Passenger Name Error on My Ticket
On June 8, 2026, I purchased airline tickets for three passengers through the Enuygun application for AnadoluJet’s June 10, 2026, 10:50 PM flight from Adana Çukurova Airport to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
Although the Turkish ID numbers and dates of birth for all three passengers were entered completely and correctly, I later realized that I had made a spelling mistake in the name of one of the passengers. As soon as I noticed the error, I immediately contacted both Enuygun and AnadoluJet, explained the situation in detail, and submitted feedback requests through their support channels.
I also called customer service by phone and was informed that a name correction could not be made under any circumstances. Instead, I was told that the ticket would have to be canceled and reissued. Furthermore, I was informed that if I canceled the booking, a portion of the $128 payment would be deducted as a cancellation fee.
I find this approach unfair because all passenger information, including the identification number and date of birth, is correct. The issue involves only a simple spelling error in the passenger’s name. Despite the fact that the passenger can be clearly identified through the correct ID information, no reasonable solution has been offered other than canceling the ticket and accepting a significant financial loss.
I expect a customer-friendly solution that does not penalize passengers for a minor name-entry mistake. Therefore, I request that the passenger name be corrected free of charge. If AnadoluJet and Enuygun maintain that a name correction is impossible, then I request a full refund of the $128 ticket payment without any deductions or penalties.
I believe that passengers should not be forced to incur substantial financial losses when all identifying information is accurate and the issue can be resolved through a simple name correction.
