On February 14, 2026, I experienced serious hardship on my Hatay–Sabiha Gökçen flight with AnadoluJet. The scheduled departure time was 8:30 p.m., but due to a claimed technical issue, the flight was first delayed to 11:00 p.m. and eventually departed at approximately 11:30 p.m. Although the ticket listed the flight duration as about 1 hour and 50 minutes, we did not land on time. After circling in the air for an extended period, we were diverted to Istanbul Airport, even though our tickets were purchased for Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
We landed at Istanbul Airport at approximately 1:20 a.m. and were kept waiting there for about an hour. We were then transported by bus to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, arriving close to 5:00 a.m. As a result of this entire process, I experienced significant time loss and my plans were completely disrupted.
I am a healthcare professional and had a 24-hour shift scheduled. I had to report to duty exhausted and extremely stressed. Due to the intense stress and lack of sleep, I suffered stomach spasms. I was negatively affected both physically and psychologically and experienced financial and emotional damages.
Despite everything that happened, the staff and customer service representatives I spoke with dismissed the situation by simply attributing it to weather conditions and technical issues, even though there were no actual weather problems. One technical staff member even stated that such situations are normal, effectively minimizing our hardship.
My flight details are under the name H**** K**, PNR code 3zapdl, seat number 22C. Due to the long delay, diversion to a different airport, additional ground transfer by bus, and the negative impact on my health, I am requesting a ticket refund, compensation for the delay and hardship, reimbursement for meals and other rights that were not provided during the process, and consideration of the emotional distress I experienced.
I request that this incident be thoroughly investigated and that my damages be properly addressed.
