AJet Damaged Suitcase on the Flight - Compensation Request
On the AJet flight from Ankara Esenboğa to Tbilisi with my mother, our suitcases were delivered in completely different conditions. My mother’s suitcase arrived intact, but mine was broken. My suitcase was a black, very well‑kept, shiny, multifunctional suitcase with a laptop compartment and USB port, but it was delivered in a terrible condition. The handle and parts were broken and the suitcase was almost falling apart, so we had to tape it at the airport so that it would not completely scatter, and then went on to our hotel. At the airport I had an official damage report issued, as that was all I could do at that moment. My trip was long and I was away for about a month; I have only just returned home. In the meantime I also went to look for a replacement suitcase. My broken suitcase was black with special compartments for a laptop and a USB port. I could only find a similar model in red, but without USB and with fewer features, and even that was quite expensive, so I did not buy it and squeezed my belongings into a simple suitcase that my sibling had. I filled out the form requested by AJet regarding this incident, with the application number 2600099291, but I have not received any response or result so far. My only request is that my loss be compensated based on the equivalent of my damaged suitcase, which is similar to the red model I found in the store, and that the result of my application be shared with me in writing as soon as possible. Regards.
