I Face Unfair Cleaning Demands as Airbnb Host Despite Guests Leaving the House Dirty

As an Airbnb host, I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with the platform’s handling of cleaning complaints. Recently, a guest stayed for just two nights but left the property noticeably dirty. Despite this, they complained afterward that mopping hadn’t been done—even though they were the ones who made the mess.
What’s worse is that Airbnb seems to side with these types of complaints without verifying the full picture. The platform contacts me, yet makes no effort to investigate how the guests left the property. Why are cleaning staff and hosts not being protected or even consulted properly?
It feels like our labor and rights are being ignored while the guest’s word is automatically prioritized. I find it difficult to understand what Airbnb’s actual policy is when it comes to protecting hosts and cleaners from unfair accusations.
I urge Airbnb to clarify its cleaning dispute policies and implement better protections for hosts and cleaning teams who are being unfairly blamed.
