I booked an apartment through Airbnb with Newinn Serviced Apartments. Shortly after, I received a cryptic message: 'Hello, you've made a reservation for Alanya, is that correct?'
Concerned I might have chosen the wrong location, assuming the company operated in Istanbul, I opted to cancel for a correct rebooking. To my dismay, Airbnb informed me that no refund would be issued.
Contacting the company directly, a representative assured me the reservation was indeed for the correct place in Alanya. Unfortunately, by then, I had already canceled. Requesting to reinstate my original booking instead of a refund, I was met with yet another demand for a fee.
Charged for a place I didn't use initially, then facing a cancellation due to an odd message, no refund, and a new reservation fee, neither Newinn Serviced Apartments nor Airbnb has resolved my predicament.
