I Get Unfairly Labeled by Air Serbia Staff at Istanbul Airport and Denied Refund
During my recent experience at Istanbul Airport, I was unfairly treated by Air Serbia and airport personnel. Because of the way I speak, the staff labeled me an “aggressive passenger” and accused me of posing a flight safety threat—completely without justification. As a result, my ticket was canceled, and I was denied any form of refund, even though I had not caused any security issue or violated any rule.
I believe this was pure discrimination. The employees were disrespectful and condescending in both tone and behavior. It was humiliating to be treated this way simply based on assumptions about my background. I am not from Afghanistan, and regardless of anyone’s nationality, no one deserves this level of prejudice and mistreatment at an international airport.
I am demanding a full refund for my canceled ticket. I also urge Air Serbia and Istanbul Airport management to train their staff in proper, respectful customer service and prevent such discriminatory practices in the future. Passengers should be treated with fairness and dignity—not judged based on how they speak.
