Air Arabia Complaint Regarding Unfair Baggage Charges On the Flight




Dear Air Arabia Customer Service, I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my friends and I had on our return flight from Tangier between November 17-23. We traveled with cabin baggage, and there were no issues during our departure from Sabiha Gökçen Airport. However, on our return flight from Tangier, we encountered significant problems. Despite using the same cabin-size luggage with the same weight, we were told we had excess baggage. The airline staff insisted that our standard cabin bags were "extra large" and forced us to purchase additional baggage allowance. One of my friends, who had very few belongings and only one bag, was also charged for baggage, which was completely unreasonable. When we questioned this, we were threatened that our tickets would not be issued unless we paid the charges. At one point, the staff member at the desk walked away, leaving us stranded and unsure of what to do. To avoid missing our flight and to return to Istanbul, we had no choice but to pay an additional €160. This experience was both stressful and unfair. I intend to share this incident on various platforms to inform other travelers about the issues we faced with Air Arabia.
