I Accidentally Booked a Hotel on Agoda and Lost Money - I Want a Refund
On September 5, 2025, I accidentally made a reservation through Agoda for the Holiday Inn Hamburg Berliner Tor in Germany. While I was only reviewing information about the hotel, I unintentionally pressed the “book” button, and at the same time, an amount of ₺26,889.10 was charged to my credit card. My reservation number is 1647116128. I later realized that the booking was made under a non-refundable option, but because the process happened so quickly, I had no chance to notice it in time. Immediately afterward, I tried to contact both Agoda through the app and the hotel via email, but I only received automated responses from Agoda and was unable to reach customer service. I also could not reach anyone by phone, and the hotel never responded. The check-in date for the reservation is September 18, and since our travel plans are not finalized, we have not used and do not intend to use this booking. I request a full refund. Moreover, I do not find it acceptable that Agoda processed such a high-value transaction directly without any confirmation code or additional verification. I kindly ask that this mistaken booking be canceled and the payment refunded to resolve my grievance.
