Agoda Scam and Disrespectful Manager at Galata Hotel And Suites

I had a very bad experience at Galata Hotel and Suites, Istanbul. I paid via Agoda for a 2-night stay, but the hotel refused to give me a room and refused to return the money. When I arrived for check-in, the clerk in reception told me, that room does not have air-conditioning (it is broken), but they are ready to assign the room for me, if I agree with that. I agreed. I had to wait for 2 hours, as they were cleaning the room; when I came to check in, the manager of the hotel told me in a very rude manner that he doesn't have room for me. He didn't want to cancel booking from his side with Agoda and didn't want to return the money. He was extremely aggressive and threw my bag out of his hotel. I had to go search for other accommodation. I contacted Agoda, they contacted the hotel manager, he wants to keep half of the booking amount. Avoid this scumming hotel and aggressive manager. Avoid Galata Hotel and Suites to keep your nerve and money safe.
