Agoda Customer Service Not Responding After Fake Hotel Listing

I made a booking through Agoda for the property “Collection O Dwarka” in Dwarka, Gujarat, for the dates 1 March 2026 to 2 March 2026, and paid a total of Rs 1200. Initially, I had difficulty locating the hotel, but I eventually managed to find it and also tried to contact the host by phone. My calls were not answered, and when I reached the location, I was informed that the hotel had been closed for the past 15 days and that it was a fraudulent listing. At the address shown on Agoda, there was a completely different hotel. The person there told me that the property I had booked was closed and not operating, and that the host had confirmed the name but was not actually available. I was advised to ask Agoda for a refund, as the booking could not be honored. I tried to contact Agoda customer service about this problem, but I have not received any response so far. I have also not yet been able to submit a formal refund request through the platform. I request that Agoda provide a full refund of Rs 1200 for this booking, as the property was closed and I could not stay there. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly and the fraudulent listing to be reviewed so that other customers do not face the same problem.

After the issue was identified, the money was refunded, and a goodwill gesture of 10% of the amount was also credited.
