I Booked a Room on Agoda but Sky Hill Hotel Refused My Stay and I Can’t Get a Refund
On July 6, 2025, I booked a double room through the Agoda app at Sky Hill Hotel for two people. Shortly after booking, the hotel contacted me both in writing and by phone to inform me that they had no available rooms and instructed me to cancel the reservation. They explicitly stated that they could not honor the booking due to lack of capacity and that I would need to go through Agoda for the refund.
Despite canceling, I still haven’t received a refund. Neither the hotel nor Agoda is taking responsibility. The hotel claims they can’t process the refund and that Agoda must handle it, yet Agoda provides no reachable support—no real person to talk to, no effective contact system. This is deeply frustrating.
I paid in good faith for a service that was never delivered. I demand an immediate refund of my payment and expect Agoda to take accountability for the platforms they operate. This lack of support and miscommunication between Agoda and their listed hotels is unacceptable. Please resolve this matter without further delay.
