I Booked an Agoda Hotel That Wasn’t Open Yet and Still Can’t Get My Refund
I made a reservation on Agoda (booking number 1256324304) for a one-night stay on April 19–20. Before the trip, I called the hotel to confirm some details—only to be told that the property hadn’t opened yet and wouldn’t be operational until May 20. Naturally, I couldn’t stay there since it was physically closed.
I immediately reached out to Agoda through both email and phone, expecting a quick resolution. But despite repeated attempts, I’ve received no refund and no meaningful response. Agoda continues to drag this issue out instead of acknowledging that they listed a hotel that wasn’t even open for bookings.
This situation is outrageous. I paid for a service that didn’t exist and Agoda refuses to take proper action. I demand a full refund in ₺ immediately and a clear explanation of why the platform allowed users to book a hotel that wasn’t even operational.
