During my flight from Athens to Istanbul with Aegean Airlines, the handle of my suitcase was broken. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, I was told that Çelebi handles ground services for Aegean. I went there to report the issue, but no one assisted me in person. Instead, I was told to send an email.

I followed instructions and submitted a written complaint requesting the repair of my damaged luggage, but I received an email reply flatly rejecting any responsibility or support. I have traveled to 12 countries and countless cities, and this is the first time my luggage has ever been damaged—coincidentally, it also happens to be the first time I’ve flown with Aegean Airlines.

This lack of accountability is beyond disappointing. I will file a claim with the Consumer Arbitration Committee to seek compensation for my damages. I expected a responsible resolution, but instead received a dismissive response. This experience was unacceptable, and I will never fly with Aegean again. Airlines that damage property should take ownership—not push the burden onto customers.
