I discovered that Academia charged my credit card without my authorization, even though I have never created an account, purchased a subscription, or requested any services from the platform. On June 4, 2026, a charge of $65 appeared on my Türkiye İş Bankası credit card ending in 3770 with the description "Academia subscription San Francisco CA US." I have never shared my card information with this website, started a subscription, or even signed up for a free trial.

I have never used any services from this company, agreed to any contract, or authorized any payment. Therefore, I completely reject this unauthorized $65 charge. I demand a full and immediate refund of the amount charged on June 4, 2026, since the transaction was processed without my knowledge or consent.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will pursue every available remedy through my bank and the appropriate legal authorities. I also request a clear written explanation of how my card information was used and why this unauthorized charge was processed.
