Academia Charged My Credit Card After I Canceled My Subscription

I discovered that my Ziraat Bank credit card was charged $65 by Academia on June 23, 2026. I had only purchased a one-month subscription for about $1, and I never authorized or agreed to this additional charge. I did not save my credit card information on the platform, nor did I give permission for my card to be used for any future payments. Therefore, I completely reject this transaction.

I canceled my subscription approximately 15 minutes after it renewed. Despite acting immediately, Academia still attempted to charge $65 to my credit card. I believe this charge was processed without my consent and is unfair. Since the transaction has remained in a pending status for a full day, I have not been able to file a charge dispute through my bank's customer service.

To resolve this issue, I request that the $65 pending charge never be posted to my credit card account. If the payment is completed, I demand a full refund of the entire amount as soon as possible.
