Academia.edu Subscription Renewal Charged Me Without Notice

On June 20, 2026, $65 was automatically charged to the credit card linked to my Academia.edu account without my knowledge or authorization. I did not receive any prior notification, renewal reminder, or clear request for my consent before this charge was processed.

I only became aware of the transaction after seeing the charge on my credit card statement, and I am extremely dissatisfied with how this was handled. I do not accept an automatic charge of this amount being processed without my explicit approval.

I request that Academia.edu immediately refund the $65 charged to my credit card and cancel the subscription associated with this transaction without delay. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I intend to dispute the charge through my bank and pursue the matter with the appropriate authorities.
