I purchased two Zwilling Miyabi Koya 20 cm chef knives from the Zorlu Center store—one for myself and one for a friend. While my friend’s black-handled knife slices like a razor, mine can’t even cut through a bell pepper properly. I didn’t test it immediately, but during service I realized it was completely dull. It even failed the basic paper test—it couldn’t grip or slice paper at all. I gently cleaned it with warm water and a sponge thinking maybe it had a protective coating, but nothing improved. I reported it to the store, and although they initially agreed to a replacement, they later refused because of hairline scratches. Instead, they sent it out for sharpening. It came back after more than a week—still dull. Meanwhile, all four Zwilling knives I’ve bought from this store on the same day work beautifully—except mine. I trusted the brand, paid a premium (₺), and now I’m stuck with a useless blade. I’m frustrated, disappointed, and out of patience. Zwilling, I demand a full replacement immediately.
