Yandex Go Added a Hidden Tip I Never Approved

On November 4, 2025, I ordered a taxi through Yandex Go from Buca, İzmir to Çankaya, Konak. I paid using my Yapı Kredi credit card, which was already saved in the app. Even though the taximeter amount was $10 and the driver charged exactly that amount, Yandex Go also withdrew an additional $2 from my card without my knowledge or consent. In total, $12 was taken from my card.

I submitted five support requests through the app to understand why this extra charge occurred. However, each time I received only automated responses—no explanation and no solution. I also asked the driver about the extra charge, and he told me that he did not collect it; the amount went directly to Yandex Go. Only later did I realize that this extra charge was processed as a so-called “tip”, added without my permission and without any notification.

This transaction was carried out entirely without my knowledge or approval. I do not accept Yandex Go withdrawing extra charges from my card in this manner. I request a refund of the additional $2 taken and demand that such unauthorized practices be stopped immediately. I would also like to state that I will pursue my legal rights if this issue is not resolved.
