Xiaomi Sold Me a Phone With Cloned IMEI

I bought the Xiaomi 14T Pro 12+512 GB smartphone from the Vatan Computer Çorlu store on 23/10/2024. After a carrier change on 23/04/2025, I could not receive a service signal when I inserted the new SIM card into the phone. That same day, I visited the Vatan Computer Çorlu store and was told I needed to contact the authorized service. I sent the phone to Mieko authorized service on 23/04/2025 using the cargo code provided. About two weeks later, the service center contacted me and stated that the phone had been shut off due to IMEI cloning and that they could not take further action, so the phone was returned to me. Vatan Computer had registered the phone with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority by issuing an invoice and declaration; however, even though the phone has two IMEI numbers, only the first IMEI was registered. The second IMEI is still being used illegally by third parties. I was told that nothing could be done about the second IMEI because only the first was listed on the invoice at the time of purchase. When I contacted the Information and Communication Technologies Authority on 13/05/2025, I learned that, despite the first IMEI being matched to my number, the phone was still unable to receive a signal as of 14/05/2025. I went back to Vatan Computer, and the phone was sent for service again on 14/05/2025 with the same issue. However, both Vatan Computer and Xiaomi refuse to take responsibility for the IMEI cloning and place the blame on me as the user. I was informed that the legal process would start again and take another 21 business days because the service process was initiated again for the same issue. The fact that the product’s IMEI was cloned, nothing was done regarding the second IMEI, the same issue occurred a second time, and the customer is completely left helpless clearly renders this product defective. The issue and the resulting victimization are completely one-sided. Unfortunately, both Vatan Computer and Xiaomi have failed in terms of customer satisfaction. It is truly shameful.
