Xiaomi Refused to Replace My Defective 120W Charger Without Taking My Phone
I purchased my Xiaomi Mi 14T Pro through a pre-order on September 30, 2024. The 120W fast charger that came with the device became defective before even reaching one year of use, and for approximately the last two months I have not been able to use it properly.
When I contacted Xiaomi’s live support through the official website regarding this issue, I was told that even though only the charger was defective, I would still need to send the phone itself together with the charger to the service center. Since I actively use my phone every day for work and personal needs, I do not want to send my device to service for nearly a month just because the charger is faulty, and therefore I did not accept this request.
I have been a Xiaomi customer for more than 10 years, but this experience has seriously damaged my trust in the brand and made me decide not to purchase Xiaomi products again in the future.
My expectation is simple: without requiring me to send in my phone, I want my defective charger to be inspected under warranty and replaced free of charge with a new 120W fast charger.
