I Received a Suspicious Call on WhatsApp from a +977 Number and Reported It Immediately

On May 6, 2025, I received a suspicious call via WhatsApp from a foreign business account starting with +977 970. I had no prior interaction with this number, and the call was completely unexpected. As soon as I saw it, I blocked the number immediately and used WhatsApp’s built-in “Report” button to flag the incident.

I want to make it absolutely clear that I am filing a formal complaint. I do not authorize any use of my phone number, account information, or identity. If my number is used, distributed, or linked to any fraudulent activity or debt, I refuse all responsibility. In that case, WhatsApp will be held fully accountable for failing to provide adequate protection.

This situation is deeply concerning, and I urge the WhatsApp team to investigate the number and take immediate action to protect user data. I also request stronger security measures against spam and phishing attempts coming from business accounts with international numbers. My account and information must remain secure at all times.
