I Got an Unsolicited WhatsApp Message From an India Number

I received an unexpected WhatsApp message from a number with the +91 country code, which I confirmed belongs to India. I want to clearly state that I have no personal or business connections with anyone in that country. This message was unwanted and alarming.

I immediately blocked the number, but I am officially filing a complaint. I am seriously concerned about how this number obtained my contact information and what it might be used for.

If my account information, phone number, personal messages, photos, or any other private data are accessed or misused—or if someone uses my identity for fraud, purchases, debt, or registering a company—I will not accept any responsibility. In such a case, WhatsApp will bear full legal responsibility.
