I Got an Unsolicited WhatsApp Message from a +91 Number and I’m Reporting It Immediately

I received a suspicious WhatsApp message from a phone number with the +91 country code, which I confirmed online belongs to India. I want to clearly state that I have absolutely no personal or business ties to India, and this unexpected message has made me feel extremely uncomfortable and concerned.

I immediately blocked the number, but I am formally reporting this incident. I suspect my phone number may have been used without my consent, and I am deeply worried about the potential misuse of my personal information, including account details, messages, photos, or identity.

If this leads to any unauthorized activities such as someone opening a company in my name, making purchases, taking out loans, or committing fraud using my information, I will not accept any legal or financial responsibility. I place the entire responsibility on WhatsApp for the protection of its users and the security of their data.
