I Face WhatsApp Call Connection Problem With One Contact On iPhone 14 Plus

Since this morning, I have been unable to make voice or video calls with one specific friend on WhatsApp. When I initiate the call, the screen only shows “Connecting” and keeps ringing, but the call never reaches them. When my friend tries to call me, the incoming call shows up, but I cannot answer—it stays stuck.

This issue happens only with this one contact. I can make video and voice calls with all other contacts without any problem. Both of us have tried multiple troubleshooting steps:

Using both Wi-Fi and mobile data connections.

Deleting and reinstalling WhatsApp.

Restarting our devices.

Ensuring WhatsApp is updated to the latest version.

Despite all these attempts, the problem persists. I am using an iPhone 14 Plus, but I do not know my friend’s phone model. We are in the same city, and there have been no operator changes, subscription issues, or other technical problems on either side.

I already reached out to WhatsApp customer support, but I have not received any response.

My Request

I believe this is a technical issue related to WhatsApp’s system or a bug introduced in a recent update. I urgently request that:

WhatsApp investigate this issue and confirm the root cause.

Provide a clear technical explanation and a timeline for when it will be fixed.

Suggest a temporary workaround if available so we can continue communicating.

This issue is preventing me from staying in touch with my friend, and I expect fast technical support and a permanent resolution.
