I Can’t Receive My Western Union Transfer—Constant Verification Blocks My Money

I’m extremely frustrated with Western Union’s handling of international money transfers, specifically a recent transaction from Germany. A family member sent me money from Germany to Turkey, and while the funds were successfully debited from the sender’s bank, I’ve been unable to receive the money on my end.

Every time I try to withdraw the money, I’m met with vague messages about a pending approval or verification process. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times, but no one seems to be able to explain what needs to be verified or when this so-called approval will be completed. There is no transparency, no accountability, and no actual support provided.

This has caused significant stress and embarrassment, especially when people are depending on these funds urgently. I expect Western Union to immediately review and resolve this delay, and ensure this doesn’t happen to others. If the funds were sent and the sender has confirmation, there should be no reason for this kind of obstacle. Please act responsibly and release the money without further delay.
