Western Union Holding My Transfer – Demanding Sender Verification
I received a money transfer via Western Union from abroad, but when I went to collect it, they refused to release my funds. They claimed that the sender must call customer service for verification before I can access my own money.
This makes absolutely no sense—the sender has already paid in cash, so why is Western Union blocking the transfer? What exactly are they questioning at this point? If they had an issue, they should have addressed it before accepting the payment.
I do not recommend using this company for international transfers. This is unnecessary bureaucracy, and I demand that Western Union releases my funds immediately without making the process more complicated for both the sender and receiver.
