I Got a Faulty Vivo Y16 from Media Markt—Screen Came Off
I purchased a Vivo Y16 smartphone from Media Markt, along with a 2-year warranty and lifetime insurance for the screen protector. It wasn’t long before things started falling apart—literally. The screen began separating from the phone itself, even though I had barely used it under normal conditions. When I reported this to a Media Markt employee, they casually admitted that this was a known issue with the Vivo Y16 and told me to send it to the insurance company for repairs.
After the repair, the same problem came back almost immediately. On top of that, the call audio became distorted and robotic, making conversations nearly impossible. Later, when the phone accidentally slipped out of my pocket and suffered minor damage, I returned to the store again, hoping they’d take responsibility. Instead, they told me the phone was “beyond repair” and handed me a measly ₺2000 store credit—nowhere near the amount I paid. When I protested, they brushed me off and said there was nothing more they could do.
