I Regret Buying the Vivo V40 Lite—Screen Glitches, Audio Bugs, and No Real Support
Media Markt highly praised and recommended the Vivo V40 Lite when we bought it—but the problems started almost immediately, within the first month. The screen randomly goes black or flickers, especially after watching videos on social media or other apps. Even when I close the app, the video sound continues playing in the background, and nothing short of restarting the entire phone stops it.
Worse, the speaker doesn’t deliver full sound—it’s muffled and unreliable. We’ve sent the phone to the service center twice within just three months. Each time, they performed a so-called "software update" and sent it back, claiming no issue was found. The problems never went away.
Now the display lights keep dimming and flashing on and off again. I’ve had enough. I’m sending the phone in for a third time tomorrow and will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board. We even requested a refund, but they continue to dodge responsibility by saying, “No fault detected.”
After going to the service 4-5 times, the phone was finally replaced. The new device is working properly.
