One week ago, I purchased Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist 16 Bonding Serum—a product marketed as premium skincare. After just two days of use, my skin broke out in painful, inflamed acne, the kind that hurts even to touch.
I spoke to my pharmacist, who told me to keep using it and that my skin would "adjust." That advice couldn’t have been more wrong. My skin, which I had spent the last 6–7 months repairing and calming, was completely destroyed within days of using this serum.
I’ve been using the same skincare routine for the past 4–5 months without issue. Nothing changed—except adding this Vichy serum. And ever since then, my skin has gone downhill fast. On top of the damage, the price of this product is outrageous. For what I paid, I could’ve used plain coconut oil and gotten better results.
Vichy, this product has caused me emotional and physical distress. I demand a full explanation, accountability, and refund, and urge your team to reconsider the formulation and pre-sale skin compatibility testing of this serum. Premium price tags should come with premium safety—not ruined skin.
