My Vestel V10711537 bzd gt SN653EVMK- (NFK640 ex A++ ion) refrigerator stopped cooling on March 15, 2025. I waited 12 days while two different service teams inspected it. Both verbally told me the issue was a gas leak. First, they emptied the gas and replaced a part, then replaced the motor—even though the motor wasn’t faulty—saying “it has a 10-year warranty, this way your warranty is extended.” But no written report about the gas leak was given, and the company refused to acknowledge it.
About 3.5 months later, the refrigerator broke down again with the same gas leak error. I requested a replacement, but Vestel rejected it, claiming my warranty had only one year left and I had purchased extended coverage. Instead of addressing the real issue, they continued to insist it was a motor problem and suggested yet another motor replacement. They even offered a small home appliance as compensation.
I bought the fridge on 27/08/2019, and the warranty is still valid with the extension. Yet, I am left without a refrigerator for 13 days, in Diyarbakır/Kayapınar, with a 6-person household. We’ve had to rely on a neighbor’s fridge to store food. The service record number is 8113598281.
It’s clear this is not a motor problem but a recurring gas leak issue. I want Vestel to take responsibility and replace my refrigerator, as repeated repairs have not solved the problem. Customers should not have to accept temporary fixes for a product that keeps failing in the same way.
