In my residence, the thermostat receiver connected to my Vaillant VUW TR 282/3-5 turboTec plus combi boiler was installed by a Vaillant authorized service. During the installation, I repeatedly and clearly warned the technician that the receiver unit must not be placed behind the hot water pipe, as this location is risky. Despite these explicit warnings and despite the existence of a suitable and safe mounting position behind the device, the technician chose to install the receiver immediately behind the hot water line, which is technically incorrect and unsafe. After some time, the receiver unit was constantly exposed to heat from the hot water pipe and consequently melted, cracked, and became unusable. This did not only render the device inoperable, but also created serious safety risks, including electric leakage, fire hazard, electric shock, and potential damage to the installation. My subsequent research confirmed that the area behind the hot water pipe is clearly identified as one of the most critical locations where such a receiver must never be installed. I am a customer who has trusted the Vaillant brand, used its products, and purchased extended warranty services. Nevertheless, due to this negligent and faulty installation, I have suffered both financial and non-financial damage. I have photographs and other evidence showing the incorrect installation location and the damaged receiver. When I noticed the issue, I contacted customer service; however, as it was outside working hours, no immediate or concrete solution was provided. Additionally, I believe that the faulty installation and inefficient operation of the system have caused my gas bills to be abnormally high, resulting in further financial loss. I request that Vaillant and the authorized service take full responsibility for this issue, replace the defective receiver free of charge, reinstall the system correctly and safely in accordance with manufacturer instructions, carry out a comprehensive safety inspection of the installation, and compensate my financial losses arising from this situation. I also request a clear and written explanation regarding the measures to be taken to prevent similar safety risks in the future.
