I downloaded the Uption app and registered over a month ago, but my identity still hasn’t been verified. Despite this, today two people unexpectedly showed up at my door. They called me and said, “Your Uption card is coming, please sign for it.” They asked for my ID—even though my account hasn’t been approved and I haven’t received any card.
This situation made me extremely uncomfortable. How can Uption send people to collect signatures for an unverified account and a card that doesn’t exist yet? I didn’t realize how suspicious this was until after the fact. I recorded their voices during the call and took a photo of the moment they asked for my signature, just in case. They couldn’t even explain what I was signing for.
Uption, I demand a clear and logical explanation. If I don’t receive one immediately, I will file a complaint with the prosecutor’s office. This is not how a financial service should handle personal data, account verification, or customer trust.
