I recently discovered a payment taken by Umobix that I never authorised and for a service I have never used or even heard of before. According to my Lloyds Bank transaction history, a purchase for £47.99 was recorded as made on Tuesday, 26 May, but the amount was actually charged to my account today. Because I did not have enough funds at the time, this charge also pushed my account into overdraft. I immediately reported the transaction to Lloyds as fraud, and the bank has refunded the money. However, I am extremely concerned about how Umobix was able to process this payment in the first place, especially as this is a new card that I received only about a week ago, and I have never knowingly registered with or purchased anything from Umobix. I request a clear explanation of how my card details were obtained and used on your system without my consent, and I ask that you urgently identify and cancel any account, subscription or profile that may be linked to my card details. I also expect written confirmation that my card information and any related personal data have been completely removed from your systems and that no further charges will be made.
