I Face Unauthorized Uber Charge on My Bank Card
On April 9, 2026, I noticed that a charge of $8 was made from my card—linked to my Uber account—without my knowledge or consent in Ankara. I have never used the Uber app before, nor have I requested any rides or services. Despite this, a payment was taken from my account, which clearly constitutes an unauthorized transaction and has caused me distress.
As of now, I have not filed any dispute through the Uber app or with my bank. Both the Uber account and the card used belong to me, and seeing such a transaction without my knowledge raises serious security concerns.
I request that Uber thoroughly investigate this unauthorized charge, conduct the necessary security checks regarding my account and card information, and refund the $8 that was withdrawn without my permission.
