I Was Charged Twice by Uber for the Same Trip

On April 7, 2026, around 10:52 AM, I experienced a double charge issue during an Uber trip in Adana. The total fare for the ride was $8, and although I selected cash as my payment method, I ended up paying twice. I gave the driver $8 in cash, but at the same time, the same amount was also deducted from my Uber Cash balance. As a result, I paid a total of $16 for a single trip.
After noticing this issue, I submitted a support request through the Uber app. However, I received a response stating that there was no problem or irregularity with the transaction. Despite this, it is clear that I was charged twice for the same trip—once in cash and once through Uber Cash.
I request that the extra $8 charged from my account be refunded and that this error in my account be properly investigated and corrected.
