Anyone can start a raid by typing "/raid [channel_name]" in their chat or in their stream manager. During a raid, your viewers are automatically sent to the channel that is being raided, where they will see an announcement and other content. Rallies are a great way to introduce your audience to new creators, build community, and celebrate big wins or teamwork.
There are rules and restrictions to follow. To start a raid, you need at least three viewers at the same time. You can only raid live channels that are in good standing. Stay away from channels with inappropriate content or you could be banned. After each raid, there is a 5-minute cooldown to stop people from raiding too much or too often. Respectful raiding means making sure the channel being raided is open to raids and not acting in a way that bothers other people. Think about the content you're raiding to make sure you don't send people to streams they won't like. It is very important to follow Twitch's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service so that you don't get in trouble for breaking the rules.
