Turkish Airlines Victimizes People For The Sake Of Selling Tickets
I purchased a round-trip flight ticket from Turkish Airlines for 8 December Istanbul-Chisinau and 11 December Chisinau-Istanbul. I was going to come to Moldova as a tourist. A visa was not required for touristic trips of less than 90 days, and it was written on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey that travel could be made even with an ID card. I still went with my passport. I had previously entered and exited many European countries in my passport. I was someone who traveled constantly. After purchasing the ticket, I received information from Chisinau Airport that they did not allow Turkish citizens into the country and sent them back. I called tour companies. They all confirmed this. He stated that this is why they did not organize a tour to Moldova. Likewise, the airline company Air Moldova also confirmed this information. "There's a good chance you'll be sent back," he said. So I called Turkish Airlines. This was a force majeure event beyond my control. Therefore, I said that I wanted to cancel my ticket and request a refund. They said they would not refund the money. Since I didn't want my money to go to waste, I came to Chisinau with many documents (round-trip flight ticket, hotel reservation, health insurance, a petition written by my workplace, my bank account documents.). I was sent back to Istanbul the same day, along with many Turkish citizens, without any reason (they didn't even look at my documents). My money and time have obviously gone to waste. They put a ridiculous stamp on my passport saying I was rejected. Because of this stigma, there may be problems even entering other countries. I suffered material and moral damage. I complain that Turkish Airlines sells tickets to people in this way without any warning, even though they know this situation. I request a refund of my Round Trip tickets. Those who do not have residence or relatives in Moldova should not go to that country. This warning should be made by our embassy and Turkish airline companies, but I am making this warning here. Don't let other people be victims.
