My spouse and I purchased our tickets for Sharm El Sheikh on November 18, 2023, from a travel agency in America. Due to the events in Gaza, we wanted to use the change option provided by Turkish Airlines to reschedule our trip to a later date. We were informed that we could use our tickets on any date until February 10, 2024, as long as we made the change by December 31, 2023.
However, towards the end of 2023, despite repeatedly calling Turkish Airlines, we were unable to get our tickets reissued. Ironically, we encountered absurd reasons such as our agency not specifying my spouse's gender, which prevented the process from being completed. This led to many feedback forms being submitted, but we received unserious and ineffective responses.
Despite spending hours in discussions with Turkish Airlines along with our American agency, we unfortunately did not achieve any positive outcome. Turkish Airlines essentially ignored our issues, leaving us without a resolution.
After this experience, my spouse and I are deeply disappointed with the challenging process we faced with Turkish Airlines. As someone who frequently travels to America, my spouse no longer considers flying with Turkish Airlines in the future and is sharing this experience with others.
