Turkish Airlines Flight Change and Refund Issue
The return ticket for my international flight was rescheduled. My direct flight was automatically changed to a connecting flight. At the airport, I was told I had no ticket. I showed the tickets, they checked, and said they would only assist with the first flight. I bought a new ticket at the connecting location. After multiple correspondences, they said they would refund me. I went to Izmir airport, and they said they had no money. They asked for a copy of my ID, bank receipt, ticket, etc. via email for the refund. Eventually, they made the payment, but it was given to the ticket-holding staff instead of the payer. I couldn't get the money back from an employee who had left the company. I explained my rush to catch the flight, the numerous dialogues with representatives, being made to feel like a liar or at fault, the drinks left at the control, and everything else, but they didn't resolve my issue. They refused to pay any penalty. Their mistake went unpunished.
